Why we love… Ax+ Apple Jewelry

We are absolutely loving Ax+ Apple’s jewelry line inspired by vintage pieces and geometric shapes. Jamie Lyn and Jessica Lynn, out of East Austin, Texas, are creating fun and different statement pieces that are perfect this season. We are super fond of their mixed metals, assorted bronze castings and found objects.

The bronze pyramid cuff bracelet with talon charm is cast from hand carved wax (available in both gold and white bronze). With a silver plate chain It’s the perfect bracelet for layering or wearing solo, $120.

Tons of celebrities have been wearing the Odessa necklace, and you can see why! It’s so striking, yet very elegant.  This tusk has been cast from hand carved wax using the lost wax casting technique, $116.

Stop in to see other great styles these great gals came up with this season!

Why we love…Pretty Penny by Penny Stock

Penny Stock was created as a byproduct of our current global recession, as a clever reaction to the downturn of the global marketplace. The brand is designed by John Moore & Michael Abbey in Culver City, California. They focus on iconic style at a true value, defining a new modern day symbol of status. All of us ladies were jealous of Penny Stock’s great designs & fabrics for guys carried at Stripe MEN.  Luckily, Penny Stock recognized that behind all great men, there is a strong woman, and introduced Pretty Penny for us ladies.  We love the classic silhouette in the ballerina dress, $112. It’s a trip straight to a tennis court in 1964, and the only thing missing is a mint julep in one hand.

And for Santa Cruz chilly evenings, we are happy that Pretty Penny offers this lovely geometric jacquard sweater, $128. What a great layer paired with shorts or worn with your favorite skinny jeans.
